Independent Laboratory Testing of Safe Shower

Safe Shower has undergone laboratory testing of water samples collected from hospital shower and water systems.

The testing was performed by Bactochem Laboratories, an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory. Legionella testing was performed according to ISO 11731-2:2017. The reports identify the relevant Legionella tests as accredited and/or recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Health, as indicated in the laboratory reports.

The testing included samples collected from shower outlets with the Safe Shower device installed, as well as samples collected after water flushing.

A Significant Comparison Within the Same Room

Safe Shower Pilot Results

Safe Shower was installed at selected shower points at Barzilai Medical Center.

During the pilot, three sampling events were conducted with Safe Shower installed, and all three results were compliant.

The sampling included first-draw water collected without prior flushing, allowing evaluation of the water remaining at the endpoint between uses.

All Safe Shower sampling results were below the reported detection thresholds, including <50 CFU/L in first-draw water samples.
Overall, the pilot demonstrated consistent compliant Legionella sampling results following Safe Shower installation, including first-draw water collected without prior flushing.

Why this matters

Safe Shower is designed around a specific point of intervention: the shower outlet and the water remaining inside the shower assembly between uses.

The laboratory results provide field-testing data from a hospital environment in which water samples were collected directly through the Safe Shower installation.

Laboratory Evidence From a Real Hospital Environment

The reported results were obtained from samples collected in a hospital environment rather than from a laboratory-only demonstration.

The December 2025 report identifies the sampling location describes the shower samples as being collected through the Safe Shower installation without dismantling the device.
