From Showering to Standby
Safe Shower is designed around two operating conditions:
When the user opens the shower:
1. Water begins to flow
The system detects water flow.
2. The treatment system activates
Water passes through the Safe Shower UV treatment system.
3. UVC treatment
The water is exposed to UVC within the treatment unit.
4. Treated water reaches the shower
The treated water continues to the shower outlet.
The water doesn't simply disappear.
After the shower is turned off, water can remain inside the shower outlet and the final section of the water pathway.
Safe Shower is designed to address this residual water.
1. The outlet closes
The specially designed flexible outlet valves close when water flow stops.
2. Residual water remains inside the controlled system
The outlet is designed to reduce exposure of the internal water volume to the surrounding environment.
3. Periodic circulation
During standby, the system is designed to circulate the remaining water through the UVC treatment unit.
4. Repeat treatment
The residual water can therefore be treated again during periods when the shower is not being used.
A different approach to the last meter.
Flowing water is only part of the challenge.
Safe Shower is designed to address the water that remains.
Designed for Safety. Developed for Regulated Environments.
Safe Shower is being developed for use in healthcare, hospitality and other environments where water safety is critical.
Our development and testing program considers applicable requirements for:
The UVC source is contained within the treatment system and is designed to operate within the controlled water pathway.
Electrical components are designed and selected according to the applicable requirements for the target market and installation environment.
Materials that come into contact with water are selected with consideration of applicable drinking-water and plumbing requirements.
Installation is designed to comply with applicable local plumbing codes and requirements.
